Matushita fans were sold in South Africa under a few brand names:

NATIONAL being the most popular (National/Panasonic or just Panasonic in the States)
KDK (a sub-division of Matsushita but shares parts and design with National/Panasonic Fans. Parts are 100% interchangeable)

I guess that during sanction times in South Africa weird and wonderful names were created to rebadge Matsushita fans.

Most of these 'rebadged' fans parts are 100% interchangeable with National / KDK fans. (These fans are pictured in the Matsushita gallery)

Caple Aire E-30AY - 12", 3 speed push-button, 'automatic oscillation' (3-way oscillation), opaque plastic blade.

Concorde B30AC - 12", 3 speed push-button, 5-way oscillation, opaque plastic blade with plastic hub, OHSA guard, ratchet neck tilt, technically similar to the Caple Aire.

Concorde B40AC - 16", 3 speed push-button, 5-way oscillation, opaque plastic blade with die-cast hub, OHSA guard, ratchet neck tilt.

KDK 30AKV - 12", 3 speed push-button, 'automatic oscillation' (5-way oscillation), die-cast neck, translucent blade set, twisted cord.

KDK 45DX - 18", 3 speed rotary switch, 'automatic oscillation' (5-way oscillation), aluminum blade set with die-cast hub, twisted cord - also die-cast base.

KDK (Custom Delux) 40AKT - 16", 3 speed push-button, 'automatic oscillation' (5-way oscillation), aluminum blade set with die-cast hub, some units parts made in Japan and assembled in South Africa by Litemaster in Johannesburg. Sold in "GAME" department stores in the mid 70's.

KDK 30AYS - 12", 3 speed push-button, 'automatic oscillation' (5-way oscillation), aluminum blade set, made in South Africa.

KDK G40BK - 16", 3 speed push-button, 'automatic oscillation' (3-way oscillation), aluminum blade with die-cast hub, can be converted to mount on wall (labeled as WALL BRACKET).

National 6in Car Fan - 6" single speed car fan, 12 volt direct current, transparent plastic blade set, UL certified.

National Elec Moc - 16" wall bracket fan, electronic speed selection and control, aluminum blades with die-cast hub. Not sure about model number. Non-grounded cord.

National F30-CNE - 12", 3 speed push-button, double oscillation (5-way oscl), transparent blades. ratchet neck adjustment.

National F-30CNC - 12", 3 speed push-button, double oscillation (5-way oscl), transparent blades, vintage style rear guard, twisted cord.

National F-30CND - 12", 3 speed push-button, double oscillation (5-way oscl), transparent blades, twisted cord.

National F-40NNC - 16" 3 speed push-button, double oscillation (5-way oscl), aluminum blades with die-cast hub, twisted cord, die-cast neck assy.

National F-42ASA - 16", 3 speed push-button, 5-way oscillation, opaque plastic blades with plastic hub, ratchet type neck adjust, IEC power inlet socket, OHSA guard.

National F-403TN - 16", 3 speed push-button, 5-way oscillation, opaque plastic blades with plastic hub, ratchet type neck adjust, OHSA guard

Toshiba EL-91C - 12", 3 speed push-button, normal oscillation, opaque plastic blades, ratchet type neck adjust

Toshiba ES63BC - 16", 3 speed push-button, normal oscillation, transparent plastic blades, ratchet type neck adjust, OHSA guard.

Xpelair 10in - 10", 2 speed push-button, normal oscll, transparent plastic blades, OSHA guard. Made in Spain!!

Xpelair 12in - 12", 3 speed push-button, normal oscll, plastic blades, NON-OSHA guard. Made in Spain!!
